SoloFest

Jul 21, 2026 - Jul 28, 2026

Redtwist's mission with the One-On-Wednesday series is programming unique, boundary-pushing, and highly theatrical solo work. The Solo Incubator Festival is a developmental festival which showcases artists-in-process as they develop their storytelling and expand on the theatrical and technical elements of their original shows. Our goal is to connect solo creators in varying stages of experience with others in the community, and help expand the breadth and depth of solo work for Redtwist to produce in future One-On-Wednesday slots

The Metal Shop Performance Lab and JunkHeart present:

ANATOMY OF A SUICIDE
by Alice Birch
directed by Alex Mallory

www.themetalshop.org/junkheart for more information

Anatomy of a Suicide follows three generations of women fighting against the current of mental illness and inter-generational trauma across three simultaneous timelines.

Featuring an ensemble of ten actors playing 26 characters, Alice Birch’s Susan Smith Blackburn Prize-winning play draws the audience into a whirlpool of past, present, and future, and the vestiges they leave behind.

This production is independently funded by the producers and generous individual donors. All donations go directly to paying artists. If you would like to support our work, click here to make a tax-deductible donation to the production through The Metal Shop's fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas.
